Private Integration Tokens (PITs) Now Available for Sandbox & Trial Accounts

We have introduced Private Integration Tokens (PITs) for Sandbox and Trial accounts, enabling developers and agencies to thoroughly test their custom integrations with Clixio APIs before launching them.

Sandbox and Trial accounts can now:

  • Create and utilise Private Integration Tokens
  • Authenticate custom integrations securely
  • Test API workflows without using production accounts
  • Eliminate the need for manual support intervention

This change lifts the previous restriction that prevented the creation of PITs for these account types.

🔒 Built for Safe Testing

To ensure platform stability and prevent misuse, PIT usage in Sandbox and Trial accounts is governed by conservative, leadership-approved API rate limits:

  • Burst Limit:

    25 requests per 10 seconds

  • Daily Limit: 10,000 requests

These limits apply collectively across all Private Integration Tokens within the account (they do not multiply per token).

⚡ Automatic Upgrade Handling

When a Trial account upgrades to a paid plan:

  • API limits are automatically updated to standard production limits
  • No manual intervention is necessary
  • Entitlements are updated immediately
