Get the right ad platform on your number pool calls
Call tracking now labels Facebook ad calls correctly. Before, many calls from Facebook ads showed up as “Facebook” or “Direct”, so you couldn’t tell which ads were driving calls. They now show as Facebook Paid.
Facebook ad calls are labelled “Facebook Paid”.
Other ad platforms are covered too. Calls from TikTok, LinkedIn, and Microsoft (Bing) ads and Google ads clicked in apps are now labelled by platform.
Tagged links are labelled too. If your ad link uses utm_medium=cpc, the source shows as the platform plus “Paid”, such as “Bing Paid”.
AI referrals. Visits that come from ChatGPT and similar tools show up as their own source.
Nothing to set up. Your number pool tracking script updates on its own.
These changes apply to new calls only. Past calls keep the source they already have.
Some calls will still show as “Direct”. This happens when a visitor’s browser hides where they came from and the link has no ad tracking code. We can’t label those.
If a visitor’s link has several ad tracking codes, the first match wins. Google is checked first, then Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Your call reports and call details now show the improved source.
