Google Business Profile connection enhancements
We’ve enhanced the Google Business Profile (GBP) integration to improve usability and make it easier to manage and discover business pages. These updates tackle common issues experienced during setup and page selection by providing clearer guidance when no pages are available and introducing more flexible search options. Overall, this ensures a smoother and more intuitive experience, particularly for users managing multiple locations.
Improvements have been made to the Google Business Profile (GBP) integration experience to clarify page selection and handling, making it more flexible.
1. No Associated GBP Page Found – Improved Handling
When no GBP pages are linked to the connected Google account, users will now receive a clearer and more informative message indicating the empty state, helping them understand why no pages are visible.
2. Enhanced Search Capabilities
Users can now search and filter GBP pages using multiple fields:
– Page Name (existing and default)
– Store Code (new)
– Postal Code (new)
– Locality (new)
This improves discoverability, especially for accounts managing a large number of locations.
Navigate to Google Business Profile integration
Use the search dropdown to select your preferred search field
Enter the search value to filter pages
If no pages are found, follow the guidance provided to connect the correct account
Previously, users could only search using the Page Name. For those with franchise-based naming, each page had the same name, making it extremely challenging to find the correct page to connect. Additionally, empty states were unclear when no GBP pages were found.
These enhancements improve usability, reduce friction during setup, and simplify the management of large sets of business locations.
