Keyboard Shortcuts for Product Image in Open Lightbox

We’ve introduced keyboard shortcut support for the Product Details Page, enhancing image navigation when Open Lightbox zoom is enabled.

Customers can now:

  • Press Escape to close the lightbox.
  • Use the Right Arrow key to move to the next image.
  • Use the Left Arrow key to return to the previous image.
  • Navigate seamlessly with wrap-around support from the last image to the first, and vice versa.

The lightbox also auto-focuses upon opening, ensuring shortcuts are ready for immediate use without requiring an extra click. Arrow keys will no longer scroll the page behind the popup.

  1. Open a Product Details Page with Open Lightbox zoom enabled.
  2. Click on a product image to open the lightbox.
  3. Use Escape, Left Arrow, or Right Arrow keys for navigation.
  • The thumbnail strip auto-scrolls to keep the active thumbnail in view.
  • Mouse interactions such as arrow clicks, thumbnails, close, zoom, and grid toggle remain unchanged.
  • This feature is supported in both Page Builder and Builder Preview.
