Clarifying Agent in AI Builder

The AI Builder Enhancements now collect missing context before generating or editing workflows, resulting in significantly improved initial outputs and reducing the need for follow-up revisions.

Previously, when a user provided a vague prompt such as “follow up with the customer,” the AI Builder would make assumptions and produce a complete workflow — which often required several rounds of revision. The same issue occurred with edit requests, where unclear instructions led to changes that didn’t align with user intent. Each revision cycle involved the entire workflow being considered, extending the time to deliver value.

The new Clarifying Agent identifies gaps in the user’s request and presents up to three focused questions before generation or editing commences. By gathering the correct inputs at the outset, the AI Builder provides a more accurate initial output for both new builds and edits, resulting in fewer revisions and a lower cost per interaction.

The Clarifying Agent intervenes only when specific, high-impact details are missing:

• Trigger not specified — The user hasn’t defined what initiates the workflow (e.g., form submission, appointment booked, tag added).
• Channel not provided — The user hasn’t indicated the communication channel (e.g., SMS, email, WhatsApp).
• Timing not defined — The user hasn’t specified when an action should occur (e.g., immediately, after one hour, after one day).
• Unsupported platform referenced — If the user mentions a channel that isn’t supported, the agent flags it and asks which supported channel should be used instead.

Questions are displayed in a clear multiple-choice format. When multiple questions are presented, navigation arrows allow users to move between them. Every question can be skipped.
