App Marketplace | Improvements to App Search and Filtering
The Marketplace team is excited to release improvements to the Search and Filtering experiences on App Marketplace.
Improved app search experience
- The app search now matches the following app properties in decreasing order of priority:
- App name
- App tagline
- App description
- App’s developer name
- We have implemented Fuzzy Search, which ignores typos and matches plurals, improving the search experience.
- We now display the applied filters on the top with the ability to clear them individually or all.
- We now allow users to multi-select options while filtering apps by app category or pricing, allowing users to broaden their app search.

- Discovery is the most critical step in a marketplace’s user journey.
- Until now, the search only matched the app name, which hindered the discovery of apps. This release allows users to discover relevant apps by broadening the app search across relevant app details.
- The enhancements to filtering further improve the app discovery experience with more flexible filtering and filter-clearing options.
The improved search will be extended to the search experience to the consuming products:
- Search experience for Marketplace Actions/Triggers in Workflow Builder
- Search experience for Web Widgets in Funnel Builder
