Workflows now support the Add Note action for custom objects, enabling you to automatically save notes directly to custom object records.

When a workflow runs for a custom object, the Add Note action can create a note on that specific record. This functionality helps teams capture updates, context, or important details without needing to switch back to the record manually.

How to Use the Add Note Action

  • Open a custom object workflow.
  • Add the Add Note action.
  • Enter the note content, then save and publish the workflow.

Custom objects assist teams in managing more than just contacts. The addition of note support simplifies the process of tracking key updates directly on the records your team interacts with daily.

A consulting team can utilise a custom object workflow to add a note to a Project record once a milestone is completed.
