1. Custom Keyword Heatmaps

Previously, the heatmap was locked to the default keyword derived from the prospect’s Google Business Profile (GBP) category, meaning customers couldn’t change this keyword or create multiple analyses for different services.
What’s new:
Now, you can enter any keyword (e.g., “drain cleaning” or “roof repair”) and immediately rerun the grid. You can also set different radius sizes (1–10 miles) and grid sizes (3×3, 5×5, 7×7) alongside your chosen keyword.
Customers can generate multiple heatmaps with various configurations (keyword + radius + grid size) to conduct side-by-side analyses. When sharing the prospect report via a web URL or PDF, you can select which heatmaps to include.

This allows you to tailor the heatmap to the most valuable services for each prospect. You can compare visibility across multiple service offerings and coverage areas, sharing only the most relevant heatmaps to keep reports sharp and impactful.
2. Adjustable Coverage Radius
Select a coverage radius between 1–10 miles (2–16 km). This aligns the heatmap with a business’s actual service footprint. Choose from 3×3, 5×5, or 7×7 grids—smaller grids provide quick scans, while larger grids offer deeper coverage.
A new Ranking Scorecard summarises the average rank across all pins for a keyword, enabling quick benchmarking of overall visibility without the need for manual grid scanning.
3. Pin-Level Competitor Insights
Click any pin (heatmap grid point) to view:
- The prospect’s exact rank at that location.
- The top 10 competitors, now with clickable GBP links, expanding on the previous limit of three non-clickable competitors per pin.
4. Control What Appears in Reports
If you’ve generated multiple heatmaps (e.g., default + custom keyword), you can choose which heatmap to display in the reports. Only the selected heatmap will be included in the Share Report link and Export PDF.
5. Live in Company Labs
Enable via Settings → Labs → Local SEO Audit — Interactive Heatmap & Competitors. This feature works in both the Prospecting Tool and Account Marketing Audits.
