Meta regional regulated categories restrictions & missing CTA for Lead Gen ads
👀 What’s New?
- Regional Regulated Categories Error Messaging
- Certain countries, such as Taiwan, Singapore, and Australia, have additional ad restrictions under Meta’s policies. Running ads in these locations requires specific parameters and verified IDs, which are currently not supported on our platform due to Meta API limitations.
- To help you avoid campaign failures, we now display a clear error message upfront whenever a restricted region is selected:
"Ads targeting {RegionName} fall under Meta's regional regulated categories, which are not supported via our platform."
In simple terms: If you choose one of these restricted regions, we will promptly inform you that it is not supported, so you don’t waste time setting up a campaign that Meta will subsequently reject.
- Current restricted values:
- AUSTRALIA_FINSERV : Financial Service ads targeting Australia
- TAIWAN_UNIVERSAL : All ads targeting Taiwan
- SINGAPORE_UNIVERSAL : All ads targeting Singapore
- When Worldwide is selected as the targeted location
- “Get Offer” CTA for Meta Lead Gen Campaigns
- The previously missing Get Offer call-to-action is now available for Lead Generation ads.
- This feature allows advertisers to highlight promotions or discounts directly within the ad, making campaigns more engaging and likely to convert.
👷 How It Works:
- When you attempt to set up a campaign targeting a restricted region, the system will provide a clear message about our current limitations.
- While creating a Lead Generation campaign on Meta, you will see Get Offer as a new CTA option.
⭐ Why it Matters:
- For regional rules: Users can avoid hidden failures, as we are transparent about what is supported and what is not.
- For Lead Gen ads: More flexibility in CTAs means more ways to connect with leads and enhance sign-ups.
