Improved Builder Experience for “One Question at a Time”
We’ve enhanced the builder experience for the “One Question at a Time” setting within the Survey Builder! Previously, enabling this option would cluster all form fields under a single slide in the builder preview, which was confusing and misaligned with how the survey functioned on live pages.
With this update, fields are now displayed on separate slides in the builder preview, mirroring the end-user experience.
Before: All questions grouped in a single preview screen.
Now: Each question appears on a separate slide, matching the end-user experience.
A helpful warning modal now informs users that enabling this setting may disrupt conditional logic.
To enable this feature, navigate to Options → Survey Settings and toggle “One Question at a Time.”
The builder preview will then update to show each field on its own slide.
Any impacts on conditional logic will be clearly communicated through a confirmation prompt.
No changes have been made to the end-user experience — this update strictly improves the editing workflow.
This enhancement enhances survey design clarity and reduces the chances of misconfiguration.
No action is required from you unless you wish to begin utilising this view for improved survey authoring.
