Google Ads: EU Political ads compliance section
👀 What’s New?
We’ve introduced a new EU Political Ads section in the Google Ads campaign builder flow, located directly under the Geographic Location settings.
- Advertisers are now required to declare whether their campaign includes European Union political ads.
- A mandatory selection field (Yes/No) has been added.
- A “Learn More” link will direct users to Google’s official policy guidelines.
👷 How It Works:
- While setting up a Google Ads campaign, go to the Audience Controls section.
- Under Geographic Location, you will notice the new EU Political Ads field.

- Select one of the two options:
- Yes – if your campaign includes EU political ads.
- No – if your campaign does not include EU political ads.
- This selection is mandatory before you can proceed with creating the campaign.
⭐ Why It Matters:
- Ensures regulatory compliance with EU advertising laws.
- Protects agencies and advertisers from potential ad disapprovals or account restrictions.
- Aligns Clixio Ad Manager with Google’s latest campaign creation requirements.
- Builds trust and transparency for political ad campaigns in the EU region.
📝 Notes:
- This setting applies only to Google Ads campaigns.
- Campaigns without a declared option cannot proceed to publish.
- Compliance with political ad policies is essential for advertisers targeting audiences within the EU.
