Advanced filters 2.0: New operators and improved consistency
We have enhanced the advanced filtering for smart lists to improve consistency, clarity, and standardisation. Previously, filters featured inconsistent operators across various data types, and some commonly expected operators were absent. We have standardised the behaviour of operators across date, numeric, and string filters while refining existing logic. This update also addresses a longstanding issue related to filtering future dates. Our objective is to ensure consistent filter behaviour across data types while enhancing usability and minimising confusion for users.
Added commonly requested operators for date filters:
today, tomorrow, yesterday, this week, this quarter, this year, before date, and after date, to the existing set of date operators.
Standardised string filter operators to ensure consistent behaviour across fields.
Introduced DND as a suffix for SMS, email, call, WhatsApp, etc., making communication-related filtering easier.
Renamed Pipeline filters to Opportunity to better align with terminology commonly used and understood by our customers.
Enhanced email and WhatsApp status operators to better reflect the underlying status criteria and cover additional matching scenarios.
Improved filtering and operators for Numeric fields – added more options.
What’s next:
Continued performance improvements for certain filters, especially string operators like ‘contains’ and ‘is’, for better efficiency and string matching.
