Meta Update on WhatsApp Business Solution Terms

Meta has announced an update to the WhatsApp Business Solution Terms, which will take effect on 15 January 2026. These new terms provide additional clarity regarding AI usage, data handling, and third-party integrations for all WhatsApp Business Solution Providers (BSPs).

This update mainly aims to restrict external large language model (LLM) providers—such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Perplexity—from utilising WhatsApp message data for AI model training or analysis.
