Enhancement to External Authentication in Marketplace Apps

We are excited to announce an enhancement in Marketplace Apps that will help developers support multiple authentication types for their sub-account users at the time of installation.

• Developers can now build any authentication method by designing the external authentication login form as required. This means they can now support new authentication mechanisms such as Auth Token, Username & Password, etc.
• We have also expanded the flexibility of configuring different types of Auth endpoints. This includes configurable HTTP methods, intuitive UX to map user credentials to request parameters, and including params in the HTTP header/body.
• Developers can now test the authentication on the configuration page before publishing the app, which is a great developer experience.

Before this release, we supported API Key as the only external authentication mechanism. This release addresses that by giving developers flexibility and, hence, expanding the possibilities of integrating with more third-party apps.
