Contact Merge improvements: No more dropped executions

This update enables you to manage situations where contacts are merged with ease. When two contacts are merged, your automation continues to function without any interruptions.

When the old contact is deleted during the merge, we automatically transfer the workflow to the primary (master) contact, ensuring that nothing is overlooked.

Bottom line: the workflow proceeds smoothly under the correct contact.

Live Chat Guest Converts to a Known Contact

  • A visitor initiates a chat as a “Guest” and enters your follow-up workflow. Later, they provide an email that corresponds with an existing contact.
  • Result: The workflow seamlessly transitions from “Guest” to the existing (master) contact, ensuring no steps are missed.
  • You’ll notice a Contact Merge action recorded in the execution logs for clear traceability.
  • This prevents accidental pauses and avoids creating duplicate journeys for the same individual.
